Watering
Water deeply but not daily. Most saplings need water every 2–3 days in summer, once a week in winter. Check soil 2 inches down — water only if dry. Mulch to reduce evaporation in Bihar's peak summer.

Fruit trees (mango, guava, lemon) need 6+ hours of direct sun. Flowering plants like Bougainvillea and Hibiscus need full sun. Indoor ornamentals prefer bright, indirect light near an east window.
Use a 2:1:1 mix of garden soil, well-rotted compost and coarse sand for most plants. Repot every 12–18 months into a pot 2 inches larger. Ensure drainage holes at the base.
Prune dead and crossing branches at the start of monsoon. For flowering shrubs, prune right after flowering. Sharp, clean tools reduce disease. Never remove more than 1/3 of the canopy at once.
For aphids and mealy bugs — neem oil spray (5 ml / 1 L water) every 7 days. For fungal spots — remove affected leaves and improve air flow. Prefer organic remedies before chemical pesticides.
Feed once a month during growing season (March–October) with vermicompost or a balanced 10:10:10 NPK. Fruit plants benefit from potash boost before flowering. Never fertilize a dry plant.
